Teaching comes naturally for me whether working with young children or adults. I have taught the required 40 clock hours and the DAP for Infant and Toddler in both English and Spanish for the county and also taught for C.C.C. Angels Program. I am now currently teaching in the CDA Apprenticeship Program at PTEC in South St. Petersburg and CDA renewal classes in Clearwater PTEC.
For the last ten years I have been the Director of Holy Family Early Childhood Center for Holy Family Catholic Church. I have had the experience of opening three centers from the ground up. One public daycare and two faith based centers for the Diocese. I have been asked by numerous faith based centers for technical assistance and I am still currently providing them assistance in establishing their VPK programs.
I am also an active participant in my faith at St. Patrick Catholic Church where I coordinate its Twinning Mission to El Salvador. I have had the honor of being able to promulgate my faith as a Missionary and acting as a translator for Doctors, teachers and Religious. My love for teaching is evident in both languages.
What I enjoy most about being in the field of Early Childhood is the sharing of my experiences and mentoring people through programs to become quality educators with a passion for the well being of children.

Our staff will ensure that all children are in an accepting; safe and secure environment where they can be nurtured and can learn and grow.
Holy Family Early Childhood Center Philosophy:
During various play activities children learn the importance of sharing and cooperating with their peers. We encourage the use of crayons, scissors, manipulative and paint, to develop small muscle coordination. We encourage free choice so that your child can develop his/her creativity through experimenting: block building, bikes, and other outdoor equipment to help your child grow in large muscle development. Children develop emergent literacy skills through books, circle time and music. So, when a child is busy at play remember he/she is busy learning. Children need not bring home paper in their hands, but acquire knowledge in their heads. So ask your child what they played with today.
